Today I was working on the wheel system and while rending it it ran into a fatal error.

Today in class I helped Anthony with his new program and while I was doing that I worked on making the Tardis.

Rendering the Rover

Today during class I started figuring out how to render and animate the rover. I set the animation so it is on a glass pedestal rotating around. Then ill place the voice over that rotating rover.

Today in class I was trying to learn texturing. The video tutorial I was going was how to model a tree then texturing the trunk and the leaves.

1st and 2nd Quarter Overview

During 1st quarter I was assigned to work on a Scivis project along with Anthony. We were told to model a Mars Rover, come up with an interesting true story for it, and then set it into a video. I had not been looking forward to the project because I had never done texturing or modeling before and I had to stop making the robot that I had been looking forward to working. I had completed the base model for the Rover but I got stuck after that because I didn’t know how I was supposed to go into more detail in the design, I did not and still do not know how to texture or animate the rover either. During the second quarter I hope to finish the project so I do not have to continue working on the rover. I will need to figure out the different ways to texture projects in Maya and I will need to learn how to animate different objects as well since I have had no experience in animating projects yet. During second quarter I also want to start on another project, maybe go back to the robot and make a proper finished version of it since I was never able to before, but I am not sure what will be assigned and if it will be something with a partner again or not.

Today I completed the bases for the solar panel so I need to put the textures for it on next class

Today Maya was working and I was able to get a lot done with it. I completed both antennas, the eye piece and its mount, and the solar panels, I still need to attach the large antenna to the body.

Frozen Rover

Today I opened up my H drive and started the rover file, maya started up then crashed as soon as I tried doing something, it came up with an error message and I closed it. After I started it again it crashed, minimized itself, and wouldn't let me close out or start another version.

Since the computer got reset it took me all class to figure
 out how I had created the panel the first time.

Scivis...again

Today I found out my computer was being reset and since none of my work was saved to the H-drive I lost everything for the project. After I switched computers I started playing around with lighting effects and texturing.

After i was done with lighting effects I started working on the rover again.

Today was a shortened school day due to testing for the lower classes and seniors had meetings with our counsilers.

Today I worked more on the solar panel,  beveled the body of the rover, made the pole that holds up the camera and started on the holding piece for the camera.

Today during class I worked on the rover "Spirit". I completed a base for the model, I found a much simpilar image to model the wheels off of so I was able to make them and their supports, and a single solar panel.

Today I started modeling the mars rover "Spirit" for our project. I didnt get much done but I got most of one wheel and joint done.

So today I finished, mostly the test robot, its a walking alligator.

Today during class Mr. Cornell went over antoehr project he wants me working on, a 2-3 minute presentation. I had just enough time to create a small body for my robot.

So my first assignment for this class is to model, texture, rig, and animate a robot. Ive never done texturing, rigging, or animating before so that part will be difficult. Right now i'm just modeling it. I finished a foot and the legs bu the legs look like skinny chicken legs so i'm going to have to go back and redo do it probably or redo the foot. it depends on how it looks when the body is added on.
